Part 3: 6 y/o son claims step-parent is being abusive completely out of the blue

Part 2: https://ift.tt/2wM21Gw 1: https://ift.tt/2MT6MZV few things have happened since I last posted.CPS came to my house and interviewed me today. She told me they interviewed my son and my ex, and that they both denied this ever happening, my son denied saying anything of the sort, etc. Predictable. What wasn't predictable was that my son also apparently told this social worker that I hit him (?!), which is absurd. My concern for all of this part is that the social worker (who is a trainee) called my ex and invited her to come to her office with our son, which seems like a bad call because it gives her a heads up to coach the kiddo on what to say, so of course he's now bandying about counter-accusations. Shocking. For the record, I don't strike my child, ever, in any way. The police also want to follow up in the near future. I got the impression from the social worker that she thinks I am making this up as a way to get at my ex. Apparently I'm a sociopath who invents false abuse allegations - who knew? The real kicker here, however, is that, just as I predicted, my ex is now trying to withhold all custody from me. I'm sure she would claim she has some Very Good Reason, but the timing (right after our son alleged abuse at the hands of her fiance) sure is suspicious. We will be back in family court tomorrow as I try and fight her on that front as well. We'll see what the judge thinks, I guess.I'm just exhausted with all this stuff. I'm tired of fighting and I just want to get along and I want our child to be okay and not being choked by an angry step-parent. I want my ex and I to be able to cooperate and I want her to stop alienating our son from me. I love my son more than anything.I apologize for the ranty frustration. It's been a tough couple of days. Wish me luck tomorrow. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2NSlLj3
