Daughter no longer interested in playing guitar.....birthday in 2-weeks and already bought a guitar as her big gift.

At age 9, my daughter wanted a guitar. My mom bought her a 1/2 size one, but we couldn't afford lessons, so she and I plucked around on it for a year until I could get her lessons (right around her birthday last year). Once she had lessons she picked it up pretty fast, and I tell her constantly how good she is at it. She seemed to be interested until this recently when she went to visit her grandparents for a month. When she came back she said she "hated" the guitar and didn't want to play any longer and has bucked practicing ever since. The problem is, we got her her own electric guitar and it's already been "set up" by the guitar shop (meaning it can't be returned). I'm on the fence about giving it to her or selling it instead. She goes back and forth about practicing, sometimes appearing excited about playing a song and other times griping about practice and avoiding it altogether. She's quit a lot of things in the past, so we really want her to stick this out, but I don't want to make her do something she doesn't want to, and now, give her a gift she probably doesn't want.
