My 8 year old daughter watched porn, apparently a lot of it. Help.

I opened up my laptop tonight (one I don't use very often b/c I have a work laptop) and a porn video was playing. I had found the laptop with dead batteries under her comforter on her bed. My in-laws were watching the kids all week during spring break and I was at work. No, I didn't have any parental controls on my computer and I am beating myself up for it. She would take my computer from time to time to play a game on it, but she is never allowed to take it into another room by herself.I wish it was a situation where she "accidentally" came across something while watching youtube, but it seems that she did a lot of searches (I honestly didn't even know she knew how to do a google search). Many things she searched for were normal, like "naked woman doing sex with a man" but some things involved kids such as "8 year old girl kissing 8 year old boy." Still normal curiosity, but then she also searched for "sexey 8 year old" and I am terrified if she came across something involving kids.I never imagined having THE TALK with her under these circumstances. The worst part is that is wasn't just one or two sites, this was for over an hour during 2 days. Apparently she wasn't being supervised much (but still, my goddamn fault for controlling access).Anyone been through something similar or have any advice? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2GMJpNC
