My daughter has a little (huuuuge) bit of a fear bugs that we are working on. I am trying to help her get over it to a manageable degree to where she doesn't scream like she broke a bone or something every time she sees one. Watching movies like Bugs life have helped. Being a kid, putting a friendly personality on them makes her think of them as "not just bugs". One of her biggest freak outs comes with spiders. I mean to the point of screaming and crying until we smash them (I put bugs back outside, especially spiders, since the mosquito is our state bird here in Florida). Even the one in bugs life didn't help because we have Black Widows here and I had to explain to her how we still can't touch them. I found this online a couple of days ago and have now watched all the shorts with her about 20 times lol. We saw one of these little spiders outside yesterday and she yelled, but not like usual. It went from meltdown freakout to "DAD!!! LUCAS IS HERE!!!".This is the intro video to how he was made but there are 5 or 6 little 20 second shorts so far.
