My 4 year old girl rarely drinks water. She mostly has to be reminded and it put in front of her and then she will take a sip or two. She’s never really had juice or any other kind of sweet drinks. Only milk and usually unsweetened almond milk at that - which is pretty bland. It’s not something she drinks all day or even every day for that matter. She does eat a lot of fruit and that’s got liquid in it, so she’s not totally dehydrated. But sometimes we notice that her wee is quite concentrated- pretty yellow. We’ve talked about it over and over. We present her with it in cups, glasses, bottles of all different kinds. Every time we buy her a new bottle with some nice colour she will use it quite a bit for a day or two then when the novelty has worn off she’s back to not really drinking enough.Sometimes at night she will get really thirsty and demand heaps of water/milk in bed - partly as a stalling tactic, but also I think maybe after dinner and she’s getting tired and she realises she actually is quite thirsty.I wouldn’t really be worried but she gets slightly constipated every other week or so, and sometimes her pee is quite yellow.Any crazy tips on getting kids to drink more water? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2GEOVTm
