My son, almost 3 years old is a terrible eater. My daughter is too, but not as bad as her sibling. She's almost 2. I can count with one hand the variety of foods he'll eat, even try.We don't do desserts or sugary drinks at all. Maybe on holidays I'll let my kids have some.He loves Cookie Monster. He knows Cookie Monster eats cookies. For dinner last night, I had no idea what to give them for dinner, we had had chicken cutlets the night before and some Brussels sprouts but we ran out. My daughter ate but my son just ate peanut butter. So I decided maybe I'll try making "pancakes" for them, I know they'll eat that. Then, changed my mind and I got omelette ingredients. Just eggs, cheese, butter, and a little flour.I put four on the pan and cooked them. They were round an small.I sat my kids at the table, and nothing. He just stared at them. I usually leave them there for a while, sometimes if they're left there long enough they'll try it. Not eat it all, but at least try it, I call that a win.My daughter ate them, and was working on some yogurt and watermelon at that point. After half an hour, feeling already defeated I sat with them and I said:"They're just cookies"Next thing I see is my son grabbed one of the "cookies", he says: "cookies!" And proceeds to take a bite while mumbling "nom nom nom nom nom"So he's been eating "cookies" all day long today. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2fXM5GF
