Hi, new here.I found out on Wednesday that I was around 6 weeks pregnant with my copper IUD in. I was in shock- I also have a 19 month old and always thought it was nearly impossible for an IUD to fail.My doctor was able to remove the IUD because it was so low in my cervix, and did warn me I could bleed for a few days afterwards. The first night I had no bleeding, but yesterday I started spotting some pink/brown.When I woke up this morning I had more spotting, and because I wasn't scheduled for an ultrasound until next week and there's a higher risk of ectopic with an IUD, I went to the ER. My HCG was high at 31,600 and I saw baby with a heartbeat of 106 BPM.All was well until she took the ultrasound out and told me I was spotting more. She told me my cervix was likely irritated from the IUD removal anyways and the probe probably made it worse. It was brown, mostly, with a little bit of pink red.I got home and followed up with my OB who said my levels were lower at the hospital then they were at her office in Wednesday. She said she was confident it was a lab error and to follow up at the hospitals lab this weekend to get more results. They were 35,000 in the OB office and 31,600 at the hospital.More bleeding last night, and today it was really red at one point with a small clot. I went to the ER again-they didn't want to do another ultrasound and irritate me more, but they did my HCG again and it was up to 43,000.I still have spotting-it seems to have lessened since the one bad bleed. I'm just so confused and worried. I have another ultrasound Tuesday and hopefully everything looks good then...Any advice, shared experience, or feedback is appreciated. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2g6wisg
