2 year old is a terror with diaper changes. Struggles, does the opposite of my instructions and laughs, resists even having a diaper change by running around the room.

My son takes about 20 minutes to do a diaper change. I've tried talking to him, saying things like "relax your legs" or "calm down", that normally work and get him to focus. He like to buck/arch his back, kick his legs, pull off the diaper, all while laughing hysterically. I don't do spankings, but I usually give him a timeout after the diaper change, and tell him to think about the rule. This worked with his hitting phase. I tried offering choices (either you come to the diaper change or I get you). Since he was 6 months old I have to hold him down with my left leg to keep him in place, or he with roll onto his stomach and crawl away, laughing. I can't take it anymore, and I don't know what to do. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2fXEPzo
