My son has one of the most sweetest friends ever

My 8 year old son has a friend who he’s known since pre-k I’m going to call Henry. I joke sometimes privately with my husband that he reminds me of hey Arnold because he is just such a good level headed little kid. Really genuine and sweet. Well this week my daughter (5) has been going through a rough phase where she refuses to go to school. She will cry in the front entrance that she’s not going in. I’ve had to get help from staff to have her let go of me. My son has been trying his best to help and will hold her hand try to convince her that “it’s ok, school is fun, I’m with you” etc. So on Thursday I think was the worst episode. She was crying hysterically and all. When I went to pick her up however she was all smiling and told me on our walk home. “Henry said that If I behave tomorrow he’s going to get me a present!” Then my son goes while laughing “she was crying and wailing like crazy in the hallway...everyone wanted her to stop so then Henry told her that and she stopped” And right as rain, yesterday she walked right in. Didn’t give any fuss and then later on our walk home grabs something from her backpack. She shows me a really small Christmas Bag and with a homemade note attached. With my daughters name and a little heart from Henry. Inside was a little toy for girls. I was absolutely in shock and couldn’t stop smiling and almost shed a tear. It brought back memories of my son crying in pre k at drop off and when we first met Henry, he told him that it’s ok and that he’ll be his friend. Some people are just born with good hearts. My daughter hugged her toy and has that baggy hanging on a command hook on the top of her bed lol. What a sweet gesture from that little boy. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2UfsrxG
