Teaching a 16 mo to stop dropping food on the floor??

Hello,My 16 mo daughter is a pretty good versatile eater. We have her sit in her high chair, give her a plate and some utensils.. she uses a fork and spoon remarkably effectively. However, she has started to pick up food and simply drop it over the side to the floor. No pets to feed, she would never see us do the same.My wife and I both try to offer no pronounced reaction when she does this so not to encourage for sadistic amusement. We only respond with "please don't drop your food on the floor" , "use your words or hands to tell us you are all done" (she knows the hand signal for all done, and her version of the words.. "ah Dah, ah Dah"..so we try to reinforce that as an alternative.)By observation, it seems two primary reasons... She's full and done.. (this could also result in plate tipping).. or she doesn't like/want a particular part of the meal so she removes it from her area...violently to the wall or floor.I'm just looking for guidance to get her to keep her food on her plate or even her tray. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2qVjLjY
