My daughter is sort of starting to concern me a little bit with her newfound obsession with the way that she looks. She changes outfits multiple times a day, changes hair accessories multiple times a day and is frequently asking I and her dad if we think she "looks cute" which we always respond to with "Yes, of course."I am not sure where she's getting this from. I'm not a woman who spends lots of time worrying about what I wear or my makeup. I go full glam maybe once a month. She's not allowed to watch shows that tend to push the message of looks and money being the most important thing onto to children. She gets lots of our time and attention because she is our only child.We build the kid up constantly, telling her how smart, brave and funny she is because she truly is all of those things. I am just concerned about this getting in the way of enjoying life. Like, it took us 1.5 hours to get out the door to go to a TOY STORE because she couldn't settle on something to wear or a hairstyle. This behavior isn't an uncommon occurrence.So with that being said, should I just assume that she's figuring out who she is and do my best to support her through this annoying phase or what?
