My ten year old has started having trouble sleeping over the last few weeks, she has told me she can't get to sleep and starts panicking about not being able to sleep, which then stops her being able to sleep even more. She has never really had problems in the past, nor has anything really changed in her life recently. She end up coming into my room to let me know she can't sleep, i'd put her back into bed again and calm her down and then go back to bed myself, and then she'd be back in half an hour to wake me up to tell me she can't sleep. She says she panics about the thought of being the 'last person in the house awake', I've now started sleeping in her room on a fold-out camp bed and this seems to help as she'll drop off like she used to, it's not helping my back though! The first time this happened i got super grumpy with her waking me up every half an hour which clearly didn't help, and it's just spiralled from there.I've tried playing sleepy bedtime YouTube meditation sounds, bought a kids meditation CD to play, we've talked through the issue but none of this seems to help. She says she has no idea why this happens, it only happens at my house and not her mum's house though.help? via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2NbZtNk
