Not sure if this is the appropriate sub for this question...I am a tri-lingual, soon-to-be FTM. I’d love for my future child to have some knowledge of a second language, but I will hardly have a support system to do so. Neither my husband nor my parents (who will be baby’s caretakers) speak anything but English.I am fluent in my second language (Italian), and it would be very easy for me to communicate with baby while frazzled/mom-brained/exhausted. However, I’m practically the only person in town who speaks Italian, and there aren’t a lot of resources available.I can speak my 3rd language (Spanish), but it takes me a second to translate what I want to say from Italian to Spanish. My husband knows a little from high school, and there are infinitely more resources for speaking Spanish available (children’s books and shows, a few spanish-speaking communities in neighboring towns, etc).Any advice for raising bilingual bambini or bebés? Should I pick the one I’m more comfortable with, or the one with more authentic resources? via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2KxcmiY
