Having rules for handling my baby?

Sorry for formatting, I use mobile.A bit of backstory: I’m 15 (yes, I know) and having my first baby. When my niece was born she was so adorable and my family loved giving her kisses and holding her but from this my niece got very very sick and was in the hospital and then was given herpes by a family member who had an outbreak on her face.I’m very concerned about the health of my soon to be daughter. I had made a post on Facebook requesting that my family respect my rules of washing your hands with soap before holding her and to not kiss her on the face or hands. My family was very upset saying that I’m being too overprotective of her and I needed to lighten up.I’m afraid of my baby to eat sick like my niece and I just don’t like the idea of people not washing their hands before touching a baby.Am I being too harsh? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2PAah4d
