Backstory: Living with my sister, brother in law and their 2 teens while I get on my feet. Just filed for divorce from my spouse of 10+ years. They came out as trans, we're not compatible anymore. We've been in my sister's basement for a year. It's myself, my 11 year old son, and 2 daughters 5 and 6. It's cramped and unfinished and more often than not we're getting on each other's nerves. My son, in the last month, has managed to swipe my dead mother's phone from out of my sister's room to play on, my brother in law's echo thing from the living room into his room, and now my teenage niece's bike from the garage while she's out of town. I feel like we keep having the same conversation about respect and getting grounded over and over again.Maybe I'm just venting, but I'm at a loss. It's definitely straining my relationship with my sister (as he's not the only one acting out, but I can manage the younger 2 without feeling like I've completely failed as a parent).Help? Or not. I've given my brother in law permission to talk to him when he gets home tonight, but anything you have, I'm all ears. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2LXYDlq
