Is It Okay To Ditch Your Kids In Economy and Fly In Business?

One of the most high-quality problems has come across our desk here at Simple Flying is the question if it’s okay to split your family on a flight, with kids down the back of the plane whilst the parents relax in business or first.Assuming if the kids are old enough to sit on their own (Legally the bottom limit is 12 years old to fly solo, but we simply like to ask the bigger one to look after the younger ones), what is the good and the bad of such an idea? The Good...In the past, it may have been quite the wild idea to let the children be wrangled by the flight attendants in economy, but these days it is becoming popular, with celebrities such as Gordon Ramsay swearing by it. With in-seat entertainment units in most planes and plenty of on-demand content, some would argue that the little ones will be completely taken care of and totally absorbed in the latest movies and shows. Kids would most likely not even comprehend the difference between the classes and the magic of business (and first) would be lost on them.Additionally, the plane itself is going to arrive at the same destination so it’s very unlikely they will get off or get lost. Many parents even suggest that having a child grow up flying in business or first will make them entitled and it’s a good idea to humble them by setting them back in economy. Perhaps they would even feel independent and like they are on a solo journey. No time for a child to learn how to earn points or read up on the best ways to fly than the present!read more here: https://ift.tt/2P3uVJM via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2MyCefP
