Father of my son committed suicide. Do I have him write thank you letters to people who sent flowers and other things?

The father of my son committed suicide last month. A lot of people have sent us money, flowers, food, and other things. People are blaming me for his suicide, which makes me not want to write thank yous. However, I think that my son who’s 9 needs to grieve instead of writing cards to people.I have no idea what to do. I think that I should write them, but I know it’ll piss his family off. What should I do?Edit: The reason people are blaming me is Because he spent the day with me the day before he did it. He had come over to take our son to a music camp and then we went back to my place and were together. Then he went home and shot himself. So someone in his family started saying I must’ve done something. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2MKYN01
