Something happened this morning that I have to get off my chest. My daughter was scheduled to take a standardized test at 9am. She woke up complaining that she her lower belly hurt. I thought it was nerves because she had expressed being nervous the night before. We got to the school and everything was ok, her coloring was fine and she wasn't warm. Right before her name was called to go with her age group she vomited on the lobby floor. I had a bag and quickly passed it to her. We were towards the back corner of the room but it was obvious that she got sick because she made a loud, retching noise. We crouched down to the ground as this was all happening. In the meantime, the coordinators were calling the students names and bringing them to their respective classrooms to take the test. Within a few minutes the kids were gone as well as the parents and we were left alone in the lobby, on the ground where I was helping her clean up. During this time not one parent or employee offered to help us or ask if she was ok. Not ONE and there were around 50 people in that lobby. It was very obvious that she was sick and we needed some assistance but we were completely ignored. Now it could've happened because people were trying to avoid coming near us but if it were me I would have at least passed a trash can or something. I have to admit, I am absolutely shocked. Am I the only one who sees this as selfish and inconsiderate? I didn't expect someone to help me clean up but some paper towels and a trash can would have helped! She now feels ashamed over something she had no control over. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2qCKiBk
