So one of my kids needs a round of antibiotics again. They are both allergic to amoxicillin so the backup is zithromax suspension. I have tried damn near everything to get my kids to take this and it always ends up in me just holding them down. Forcing it in their mouth, making them swallow, and hoping enough of it made it down their throat to actually work. I've tried hiding it in apple sauce, yogurt, juice, and a variety of other things. The problem is that even one drop of it is so bitter than you can taste it in a bowl of applesauce. I'm not sure who designed this drug but I think they get some sick pleasure in watching parents struggle.My currently scheme is to teach them how to swallow pills this summer and maybe I can get them to switch from the suspension entirely. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2rA3cYF
