My partner and I are considering hiring someone to watch our child about 1x/month for a date night. Our daughter is 2.5, but it would likely be after she goes to bed, at least at first (she sleeps well and probably wouldn't wake up). We're really just looking for a few hours to grab some dinner and drinks.I'm curious about going rates for this type of thing. The person we have in mind is the adult child of very close friends, so we would like to pay her well - not too much, but we also don't want to be stingy.We live in the Midwest (if that matters).I'm curious about an hourly rate for watching our daughter while she sleeps.
