Just wanted to share my proud Mommy moment from this week!

So my son (11) found a $5 bill on the playground on Thursday. He showed it to me after school and asked if we could keep it. I told him instead to turn it in to the office at school, since whoever lost it might be very sad.He said he hadn't thought of that, and that he knew he would be really upset if he lost it. He actually asked me to turn around and go back to the school so he could turn it in right away instead of waiting for Friday. He practically insisted! He could very easily have said he'd turn it in Friday, then kept it. He's been saving up his cash, so I wouldn't have known. But he wanted to do the right thing right away. After butting heads with him several times over the last few months about doing the right thing, it was awesome to see him happy to do it for a change. Made me a proud Mommy! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2nLcLjy
