17 month old has no words, only speaks with mouth closed and "guhs" through nose.

It's maddening. We are so worried about him and we have a speech therapy session coming up soon. But we are concerned about autism. He shows many symptoms like: spinning around in circles while looking out the side of his vision (the eye thing is rare though). He toe walks sometimes (also rarely), he doesn't respond to his name or mostly anything (he knows 'no' and 'can I have that please?') he points to things too like in books until we say what they are and his play is normal (drives cars and puts toy phone to ear and 'guhs')Has anyone else child done the nose guhhing thing?
