My son is 20 months old. He sleeps bad-to-ok in literally perfect sleep conditions at home but it is always a crap shoot whether or not he will wake up multiple times, wake up at an ungodly hour (I'm not saying like 530am, I mean like 330-4am and won't go back to sleep for anything) or whatever goofy thing is making him sleep wonky. We live abroad and have done no touring since he was about 11 months old because cruddy sleeper gives me anxiety. In July, we decided to take a 3 week trip around our adopted country. Used a travel company. Booked. We figured he would be like, just so totally different in 5 months. He is but his sleep is still shit. Now the trip is two weeks away and I'm not sure how I'm going to handle and even worse sleeper. If co-sleeping still worked for him, I would 100% do that. But he can't be anywhere near my boobs when sleeping because he will relentless search for them. He simply doesn't sleep if I'm near.So I figure some of you dealt with travel with a cranky, cruddy tired toddler that doesn't sleep well even at home. We should have never booked this damn trip but here we are. How did you cope and/or get through? I'm just dreading this - I shouldn't be because I am so lucky to have this opportunity. But, you guys, we are already so tired after nearly 20 years of this shit. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2gboZzU
