I had an abdominal surgery on Friday and knew that I wouldn't be able to care for my 14 month old very well for the next week or so. Can't pick her up, snuggle with her (she's a kicker) or play with her. All I can do is stroke with her hair and give her kisses if someone brings her to me for a moment. And of all the weekends she decides that now she wants to say ma ma and gesture for me to pick her up and hold her.
