We potty trained our 2 year old over the summer. 6 months later, she's awesome. 100% at home, even overnight. We did an 8 hour car trip for Thanksgiving and didn't have a single issue. We can be at a restaurant and she'll announce to the whole place that she needs to go and will proudly flaunt her success when she's done. But at daycare.... she's closer to 80%. And it's so random, and seems deliberate. Most days she's her normal self - vocal, compliant, happy to go. But then other days she just decides not to say anything, and goes in her pants. We use an in-home daycare and the owner is really supportive, but I know she's becoming frustrated, too (there are only so many times you want to clean your carpet). The only thing we can figure is that our daughter doesn't want to give up the toys she's playing with, because the other kids will take them if she leaves to use the potty. Not sure how to handle this. I can't do anything about it when I pick her up, because it happened hours ago. You're not "supposed" to punish for accidents, but these don't feel like accidents - they seem like choices. So what are appropriate consequences? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2fU7bph
