Our 5 y/o boy had a meltdown at lunch just now. It started out as something small- he had to share something when he didn't want to. Then he started carrying around this attitude over it and generally being a prick, which landed him in more trouble. You see where this is going? He gets sent to time out, stays angry. We try to talk about our feelings, stays angry. He gets sent to his room after 90 minutes of being a fucker, and he goes nuts in there throwing toys around and stuff like that. We go in one more time and try to get him to talk about his feelings like a big boy. We ask him why he is angry, and he shouts, "I don't remember!"So he doesn't remember why he's angry, he's just angry that he's angry and that makes him even more angry. What do you do with that as a parent? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2ainu1y
