Is anyone esle enjoying their teen aged child?

So teenagers are difficult. They can be rude, hormonal, snarky, disrespectful little assholes. Also they can be insightful, inspiring, refreshing. Listen I'm not going to sugur coat my life and say my 14 yr old doesn't make me want to tear my hair out on the regular. Overall through I'm really fucking proud of her. She's smart. She's tough. She's really kind (not always to me but Its ok because Im an adult I can handle). I felt like I lost her for a minute right around 11 or 12. I got her Apple music and designated her the car dj. I straight told her that lots of music I like has inappropriate words so I dont care if your music does. The out come has been that she's fully addicted to going on rides with me. Anywhere I'm driving she wants to be in the car. We listen to her music and we talk. We get in. I learned that I like Juice Wld and we had a good opportunity to talk about how doing drugs is dangerous. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2uUpAQg
