Vaccination Paranoia and false information.

I've been going back and forth about posting here, but here goes...Ever since before I had a daughter, all i ever heard from my brother, who is considered to be the smarter more intelligent in our family by our family and for the most part, he is, he is also very kind and a decent human being, so im not here to discuss him as a person but to tell you more about my experience and hope that others who read this could possibly help them make more informed decisions regarding their families well being, that being said, my brother has pushed anti vaccination ideas to all of us in the family for years,Coming up with articles and “research” backing his claims about how vaccines cause autism and other disorders/disabilities, I'll be honest with you guys, I bought into it and became a firm believer that vaccines to infact cause autism and such and was spouting the same BS to whomever when the subject came up - (I regret this)Then I had a daughter with my beautiful loving amazing wife and i sadly did the same thing to her, she was totally for vaccinations and I talked her out of it - (I regret the latter)She had become paranoid about vaccines as well, fearing the worst may happen to our daughter, so we abstained from vaccinating.I've since then come across many many articles and actual research that disproves vaccines having any connection to autism or any other disorder.When my daughter turned three, i had become so afraid that she might get seriously ill from not being vaccinated, consulted with her pediatrician and she simply said...“Good, thats the right thing to do, lets get her started on a schedule ASAP” and honestly i was relieved, she didnt berate us, she just said okay, lets do this.A few months later and the measles outbreaks start happening and im freaking out thinking what if i was too late, what if she gets sick because of my dumb paranoia, but our pediatrician assured us that she is now immune and will be just fine.I was really thankful that i was able to look past my paranoia and past the false information, and today i have a healthy beautiful girl and will do anything to insure she has a healthy life.Vaccinate your children people. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2wwifUt
