We have never noticed any issues with my daughter. She reads (or follows along), watches tv, knows her letters, knows her numbers, etc. She even went to preschool and never had any issues. We take her for her wellness visits with her PCP. We even took her for an eye exam around her first birthday. I’m a nurse so I even do screening like things at home. It’s time for her to start kindergarten so we take her in for her recommended eye exam. Turns out she has a serious issue that if we don’t address now with appropriate glasses, it will lead to a lazy eye and permanent eye dysfunction. One eye has poor vision and the other “stronger” eye is compensating for it. She has an astigmatism (like me, which we did know about from her first eye visit). So please do take your kids in. Call your insurance and see what wellness care is covered and take full advantage of it. It could very well save them from future issues. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2BKVgdM
