Is there a reason to hold back on teaching/stimulating my toddler?

I've got a two-year-old that's very advanced for his age. We do a lot of things that are advanced for his age. I just bought a digital microscope to introduce him to the world of the tiny. I'm pretty sure he'll understand and love it, but I'm wondering if maybe I'm rushing things too much.I don't push him against his will, so that's not the concern. I'm just thinking if I rush to introduce him to lots of things, he won't get to experience the novelty of them later on.Also, my mom is concerned that he might be getting too smart or imaginative for his own good.
