We have a 5 month old little girl, and I keep seeing advice and posts from people who do consistent wakeup and bedtimes with set routines starting at 6 or 630pm, and I just don't get how people can do that every day, and worry that because we can't, we're going to cause issues. My wife is a doctor in residency so hours are crazy and constantly changing, so daycare drop-off and pickup is almost always me. I have to get our girl up at 6 to give her a morning bottle and some time to digest before she gets in the carseat, drop her off at 7 or a couple of minutes after then take the train down to the office.Leaving in the evening, I'm the first one out the door basically at 5 on the dot, and taking the subway home I still don't get to daycare until 615 or so, just before they close up, we're home by 630 but she'll have eaten at 5 or 6 at daycare and still needs one more bottle, so by the time she's played a bit and is hungry again it's almost 8. She'll go down easily and is asleep by 830 nearly always, but 830-6 (with a night feed sometimes that we're sort of trying to cut out) is a far cry from 7-7. How do people do that, and is it a problem if you just can't? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2KoPUnL
