Hi guys! I’m a FTM to a 10 month old and I’m trying to figure out how to approach his hitting. Up until now it’s not seemed intentional in the slightest but yesterday I told him ‘no thank you, those are mine” when he tried to take my glasses and he looked right at me and popped my nose with an open hand! I know it’s unlikely that he actually knows he’s hurting me. He’s a sweet little guy and the one time he’s seen me cry (I stubbed my toe) he gave me a hug and pats and started crying himself. It was nuts! I know he’s capable of learning not to hit I just have no clue where to start. Obviously I don’t want to enforce any kind of physical punishment on a 10 month old but what are some ways you’ve found works for redirecting behavior? Or is this something that I don’t need to worry about? (If so, when should I?) Is this a dumb question altogether? Ehhhhh. Halp? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2HI7Ywg
