Do you stay home with your kids or do you work? How does your situation work for your family and do you recommend it?

Hey everyone! My fiance and I are considering starting a family. I'm curious what our options are when it comes to work. I know of parents who have chosen to have one person stay home with their kids (in place of daycare costs in particular), parents who have chosen to work part-time, and parents who both went back to full-time work. What is your situation and how do you feel about it? Is it working for you and your SO? What would you recommend to someone who has the freedom to either work or stay home?
