20month old acts like I torture him when he gets back from grandma’s

I’m 26 weeks pregnant and have severe HG, to the point where i couldn’t care for my 20 month old yesterday i was vomiting so much. My husband’s mom was kind enough to take him for the day, and the night, so i could rest up and feel better. Today, MIL brings him home right before lunch (she comes in too) and he screams and cries at me trying to hold him or feed him, literally thrashing in his high chair. After me ignoring him for a couple minutes (she went out for a smoke break) he begins to eat his lunch but does a few fake cries in grandma’s direction. Then, as we do every day, i wipe him up and tell him it’s time for bed. He begins crying hysterically at his grandma’s departure, throws a tantrum on the stairs after she’s gone, and basically wants nothing to do with me as i lay him down for a nap (usually there’s kissing and cuddles). Now, i know i am currently emotionally unstable bc of pregnancy but what the actual fuck?! Why is my kid so unhappy to see me? I feel like this happens every time he’s with my in-laws for more than a few hours...like he forgets who i am or something? Idk. Any words of wisdom are appreciated. Thanks. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2INkhnX
