My three and a half year old has congenital hypothyroidism and sensory processing disorder. Because of that, she has hypotonia, gross motor delay, and a significant speech delay. She has only been speaking for about a year, and has intensive speech therapy. She has come a long way and can form sentences now, but most people do not understand her. Even her dad (we are married and live together, but he works a lot) cannot understand her very well. She also cannot physically keep up with the kids at school and they don’t understand why she cries at certain noises or circumstances. She is very isolated because of her problems, and is at an age where she’s becoming very aware of it. What can I do to make her feel more included, and have better relationships with her peers? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2j1VIeL
