This weekend we (in the US) go back to Standard Time. Sunday can be a long day! What are your strategies to cope?

Because I’m not on the ball, I haven’t been adjusting my kids bedtimes all week. Our plan is to keep them busy on Sunday with some outings and hopefully make the day go by quickly. We’ve found the the reversion to standard time can be killer, especially if you have an early riser as we do. That 5:30 AM wake up time? Oh that will be 4:30 now.We employed a new strategy last year which we’ll be doing again this year: denial. Since it’s a Sunday and we typically don’t have much going on we just don’t adjust the time overnight. Instead we put the kids to bed an hour later (8 instead of 7) at which point we then adjust the clock back. We found it was easier to keep them up later than spread that extra hour throughout the day. Plus the next day is school and the regularity of that schedule gets them adjusted pretty quickly. It’s a great method if your procrastinators like us and didn’t do the work beforehand! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2ira0l6
