
My 9 1/2 y.o. daughter has always been tall for her age and at the high end of 'healthy' weight in terms of BMI (79-82 percentile). In the past year her weight has crept up and she is now in the 86th percentile, considered to be overweight.I know this can be related to the start of puberty, but I would like to take some gentle measures to tackle this so that it does not become a bigger problem, and I'd like to do so without food/body shaming her.For parents out there who've tackled weight problems in your kids, what did you feel worked best for you?
