Mischa as a boys name. I love it, but I'm interested in hearing opinions

For the longest time. My fiancee and I really liked Liam as a boys name should we ever have another (Our only child(her child, my stepdaughter) is named Adelaide).I hate to be the guy who stops liking something once it's "in", but since then I've met a lot of kids and people named Liam and it's just lost it's charm. There's one name that's always stuck in the back of my head, Mischa. My family background is a good mix of German, French, Russian, with a dash of Sicilian (Took a DNA test too). The side of my family I physically and mentally have the most resemblance to is my maternal grandfather who's mother and father came to America as children from Russia and Germany respectively. For some reason, I really latched onto my Slavic heritage in the last few years (Current politics entirely not involved). I've always loved the history of the various nations, the languages, and the names. The name Mischa has stood out more than any other.I love how soft it sounds. I love how it is at the same time masculine and feminine. I've always liked opposite gender names for kids, like Jaime for boys and Spencer for girls. There's also the fact that both my dad and step-dad are named Michael, as well as my little brother. All of them are very important to me, and Mischa being derivative of the Russian name for Michael is a fact I really like. When I think of a Mischa as a boys name, I think of a man who is both soft and grounded in his beliefs. If I ever were to have a son, that's how I'd want to raise him.I just really like it. In an age of pop culture where one of the biggest characters is a man named Jaime, I think it can be pulled off. We're already the parents of an Adelaide, so it's not like unconventional or old names are out of the norm for us. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2zwXTyh
