We're in the middle of a weeklong trip that includes a lot of walking, a lot of long train rides, and not a lot of routine. Our 2.5 and 5.5 year olds are understandably tired and irritable, and more prone to acting out than usual. We can do time outs, "kneel and explain", and "change their situation", but not all the tricks work all the time.Sometimes the little one just has to squeal like a banshee in the middle of a long quiet train ride, mean looks from other passengers be damned.Sometimes the big one just reverts to acting like an infant who doesn't know how to hold a cup properly, despite her younger brother showing her how.Any tips on how to keep them under control, somewhat behaving properly, at least enough to be acceptable in civil society? :)This isn't their first trip of this sort (I would say third time) and won't be the last, so no better time to start collecting ideas than the present! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2BfwONf
