We are flying to NY from FL for the first time next month for a wedding with our 6 month old and it’s almost a 3 hour flight.I need help preparing for this flight and the stay, and am really nervous about how she will be on the plane.First - I figured I need to bring her stroller, car seat, pack and play, and a suitcase with her clothes (including bulkier winter clothes), diapers, wipes, some travel bath items, bottles, hand pump, blankets, burp cloths. This already seems like a ton of stuff (not even including what I’ll need to pack for my husband and I), but is there anything else I should bring?Second - I’m so nervous thinking about her crying on the plane. I’ve been told to nurse her as the plane takes off and lands, and to get a ‘hush hat’ that should help block out the loud noises. Is there anything else I can do? I get extremely anxious even when we are out and she starts crying at a restaurant or something that I just take her outside. I hate the thought of possibly making so many people on the plane uncomfortable and not being able to do anything about it (can’t just leave on the plane!) My husband and I will hold her/have her in our laps. Oh also, I’ve never breastfed her in public and am quite nervous about that too. I’m going to use a nursing cover if she is okay with it, or maybe have my husband hold up a newspaper around us if that doesn’t work, but any other tips for this?Thank you! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2lWXKxH
