I have a 9 month old who is a relatively good night time sleeper:In crib, asleep by 6-6:30 pmWakes for a bottle between 3:30 - 5 am then goes straight back to sleepWakes for the "day" around 7 am - 9 amMy question to all you parents, when is it common to ditch the baby monitor or at least turn off the volume? His room has some loud white noise/music playing and the monitor frequently throughout the night turns on depending on the note of music that's playing. I sleep with earplugs in, and still I can hear the monitor go off even when it's on the lowest setting.I have't had more than 2-3 hours sleep at a time because the damn monitor keeps waking me up (the MONITOR, not the baby crying or fussing). After I've slept a couple hours and I hear the monitor go on I lay awake in bed for hours sometimes because I just can't fall back to sleep.DH has even taken the monitor into the living room and slept on the couch to "let me get some solid sleep" but even with our bedroom door closed, earplugs in, I still wake up when I hear baby wake up despite him being down the hall, with his door also closed and white noise blasting in his room. I think it also doesn't help that this doesn't seem to wake DH at all. That monitor could be on full volume right by his head and the baby could be crying and DH wouldn't wake up because of it :/It's driving me literally insane I'm so tired because I can't get any solid sleep despite baby being such a good/predictable sleeper. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2DQ0jFu
