What necessities for an aging three year old?

Hi all! I’m getting my son for 3 months in just two weeks! and I’m excited/nervous. Besides love and attention, what are some items I should invest in for the household?I get him every few months for short periods of time, so you can see my hesitation to go all out.Holidays are coming up, I have been looking into ordering an amazon fire tablet to read variety of books with him but also how much time he spends on it.
