This has already come to some emotional burns for her. At 10 years old, 5'6", 135lbs shes already as big as her mom and step-mom. Im 6'7" so expected her to be big of course. In fact ive tried to stay in extra good shape because im the only one who can carry her and i think every little girl should be able to ride daddys back, but I digress.Last week, She got "aren't you too old to be trick or treating?" More than a couple times. She tried to make a hot chocolate stand to donate some money to the spca or wwf. She wasn't able to sell much because people thought she needed to start "real work at McDonald's or something". She's sweet and gifted smart. Trying pigtails and stuff looks like an obvious attempt to "conceal her age". She doesnt understand why she needs to shop juniors and ladies instead of "kid stuff". Is there a way to help her get through this more easily? Is this "my little girl is growing up" denial? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2lVC1X1
