Nighttime Bottles

I’m looking for advice on nighttime bottles. We cosleep with the crib sidecar-ed to our bed. My son is 7 months old and he has a bottle* at bedtime and another bottle (sometimes 1.5) throughout the night. It used to be 2-3 bottles but I got him on a no drip nipple that he doesn’t really get any flow from so he sucks on it and goes back to sleep without drinking. He still wants the regular bottle at least 3-5 times a night. The problem we are having is that when he is drinking the regular bottle, we fall asleep and the bottle drips empty and soaks his pjs and bedding. This is beyond frustrating! How do I get him to stop needing the bottle to go back to sleep? He refuses to take a pacifier.*he drinks formula because I developed postpartum cardiomyopathy leading to congestive heart failure and the meds I have to take to stay alive are not compatible with breastfeeding. I’m still totally heartbroken about it. It would solve this whole problem if I could just breastfeed him.[tl:dr] 7 month old needs bottle to sleep; soaks the bed with dropped bottles regularly; won’t take pacifier; how to get him off the night bottles? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2y5nnOB
